The keynote speaker for the Michigan ACE Women’s Network Women of Color Collaborative (WOCC) Fall Luncheon is Judi Brown Clarke, diversity director for the National Science Foundation’s Bio-Computational Evolution in Action Consortium (BEACON) Center at Michigan State University.
The luncheon, “Moving the Needle: No Limits,” is set for Friday, November 10, at Western Michigan University. Cost to attend is $60 for professionals and $20 for undergraduate/graduate students who are currently enrolled in classes. The program will run from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Register online here.
Clarke also serves as the vice president of Lansing’s City Council and recently was announced as a mayoral candidate for the city. In addition to her academic and professional successes, Clarke is an accomplished athlete and a five-time National Champion and silver medalist in the 1984 Olympic Games.
